Is the TSA clear bag waterproof?

The short answer: NO, but it is very water resistant. The long answer: It’s nearly impossible to make something completely waterproof, where it could hold water inside without spilling. To do so you have to pretty much make a variation of a zip lock bag. Which we didn’t want to do. We have however welded 3 or the 4 sides and added a waterproof zipper. When you fill this bag with water the main leaking points are on each side of the zipper, which have small leaks. That being said they are quite small and though water leaks, it actually holds shampoo quite well. Shampoo is thicker than water thus not making it’s way through small cracks and holes as easily.

Refunds?

We only used premium materials and offer a lifetime warranty. We will repair or replace any bags that somehow don’t hold up to do what the bag was designed to be used for. We do not offer refunds or returns on bags that were received as a Kickstarter reward. We’re passionate about creating amazing products and Kickstarter is a way for us to launch our brand. As you’ve read, Kickstarter isn’t a store and rewards are a thanks for supporting the project which is why we cannot offer refunds or returns. Your pledge means so much and we take it very seriously. We will do anything we can to make sure that this exchange leaves with good vibes for everyone involved. Backer support is what allows us to grow and design new products. We in turn want to reward you for your support in the form of a gift. We put your funds to work and are passionate about building new and exciting products. Thank you for your understanding and your support. If your reward doesn’t have value to you, you can: 1. Give your reward another chance. If the product performs differently than you were expecting, there might be a way to enhance your experience. Warranty?

Lifetime Warranty. We are so confident in our product’s build that we have added a lifetime warranty - plain and simple. If the bag doesn’t hold up for what it was designed for (toiletry carry) then let us know and we’ve got you covered.

Will there be new colors?

Possibly. We want to add more colors but new colors can add a lot of stress on fulfillment accuracy & inventory management. We’ve chosen to stick with Black for now and you will be the first to know if we add any colors

Shipping: What carrier will you use?

DOMESTIC: If you’re in the US, we’ll be shipping your package out of our Provo, Utah fulfillment center using a ground service (USPS First Class Mail. These packages will have tracking information that will work within the US. INTERNATIONAL: If you’re outside the US, we’ll be shipping your package out of our Provo, Utah fulfillment center using a ground service (USPS First Class Mail International. These packages will have tracking information that will work within the US and will frankly not have great tracking outside the USA. Once the package leaves the USA, USPS scans are usually not reported back by international checkpoints. We are looking into international hubs (i.e. Hong Kong) where we can ship and speed up delivery times, customs, etc. You are responsible to pay for customs imports. Note: We cannot mark the package as a gift and the value will be declared as the total value of the items contained in the shipment.

Shipping: When will I receive my stuff?

Our current plan is to be shipping no later than November 2018. Please understand that is our goal and we are going to push as hard as we can to make that happen. This schedule was built with realistic timelines based on our manufacturing schedule. We use the funds from this campaign to purchase materials, have them cut + prepared, then assembled. Machines break, factories flood, and there can be unforeseen circumstances that we will work through as best as we can. YOU are who will bring this bag to life and so we’ll grind to make it happen because we take your pledge very seriously. Updates will be given along the way and we will communicate very openly about what is going on. We do have experience making thousands of bags with this manufacturer so our confidence is very high that we will be on schedule.

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
